Costs vary significantly based on size (6m to 12m+), configuration, and interior finishes. A standard empty 6x3m unit will be much cheaper than a fully fitted 12x3m accommodation unit with ablutions. While they are designed as mobile, rapidly deployable structures (temporary in nature regarding land use), their construction is highly durable. Built on steel chassis with Chromadek cladding, a well-maintained parkhome can serve as a permanent structure for decades, weathering harsh conditions effectively.
Generally, because parkhomes are mobile structures that do not require concrete foundations, they often bypass standard permanent building plan approvals.
